Responsibilities include welding various materials, cutting and shaping metal, interpreting blueprints, operating fabrication tools, performing routine maintenance, ensuring safety, and keeping accurate work records. This role requires strong mechanical skills, precision, physical dexterity, and the ability to work with various power tools and heavy machinery.

• Welding and Fabrication:Perform all types of welding and cutting, including structural steel, pipe, and equipment parts, using electric arc, oxyacetylene, and other welding methods. 
• Mechanical Repair:Repair and replace metal parts for mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, and heavy machinery like graders and loaders. 
• Blueprints and Layouts:Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to determine project design and fabrication. 
• Metalworking Operations:Operate various metalworking machinery, including shears, presses, benders, drill presses, and saws for cutting, shaping, and forming metal parts. 
• Maintenance and Inspection: Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repair on welding equipment, machinery, and the structures they are used to build or support. 
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a safe work environment. 
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of materials used, work performed, time spent, and any issues encountered for accurate documentation and reporting. 
• Welding Proficiency: Skilled in various welding techniques and able to weld different metal types and alloys. 
• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, heavy equipment, and how to troubleshoot and repair them. 
• Technical Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. 
• Tool Operation: Proficient in operating a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and heavy metalworking machinery. 
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in various positions and environments.
