MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Participates in the development of and communication of company policies and guidelines with team

members for implementation

2. Assist in managing end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, including managers and

executives, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

3. Oversee computations for final/separation pay, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company

policies.

4. Monitor and verify payroll deductions, allowances, and adjustments in accordance with employee

entitlements and legal requirements.

5. Ensure accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of payroll transactions.

6. Address payroll-related concerns and ensure efficient issue resolution.

7. Ensure payroll compliance with internal policies, labor laws, and tax regulations.

8. Coordinate with internal and external auditors for payroll audits, providing necessary documentation

and explanations.

9. Maintain payroll records and ensure strict data confidentiality.

10. Ensure timely remittances to government agencies (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR) and handle

compliance-related inquiries.

11. Assist in preparing and managing payroll budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and accurate forecasting.

12. Generate payroll-related reports for management review, including salary costs, headcount

expenses, and financial summaries.

13. Collaborate with Finance and HR teams on payroll reconciliation and expense tracking.

14. Identify and implement improvements in payroll processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

15. Work with HRIS team to optimize payroll system functionalities and ensure accurate payroll data

management.

16. Assist in system upgrades, testing, and implementation of payroll-related enhancements

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

At least 5 years of experience in payroll processing, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Experience in handling executive payroll, separation pay computation, payroll budgeting, and audits.

Strong familiarity with government-mandated payroll requirements, tax regulations, and labor laws.

Hands-on experience with payroll software, HRIS platforms, and financial reporting tools.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

In-depth knowledge of payroll principles, tax compliance, labor laws, and statutory benefits (SSS,

PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR).

Proficiency in payroll processing systems, HRIS, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Strong analytical skills for payroll reconciliation, variance analysis, and budget forecasting.

Experience in managing payroll audits, compliance reporting, and internal/external payroll reviews.

Ability to develop and implement payroll policies and process improvements.

Strong problem-solving skills to address payroll discrepancies, compliance risks, and employee concerns.
