The Draftsman is responsible for creating technical drawings and plans used in construction, manufacturing, or engineering projects. Using CAD software and hand-drawing skills, the Draftsman interprets specifications and translates concepts into detailed, accurate technical drawings to guide production or construction teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare technical drawings, plans, and diagrams based on sketches, specifications, or field notes.
• Use CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) to create 2D and 3D models.
• Revise drawings based on engineering or architectural feedback and ensure accuracy.
• Interpret and apply building codes, industry standards, and regulations in drafting work.
• Maintain organized records of all drafts, revisions, and documentation.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements.
• Conduct site visits or inspections to gather measurements or assess existing conditions (if applicable).
• Ensure final drawings comply with project specifications, legal regulations, and company standards.
• Assist in the preparation of bills of materials, estimates, and technical reports.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience as a Draftsman or CAD Technician.
• Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar.
• Knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles, and design standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling).
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, civil, or architectural drafting (depending on field).
• Familiarity with 3D modeling and rendering tools.
